Writing is what I do on my own time for my own personal pleasure. But I can't promise that I will ever be able to describe, down to the very last detail, what makes me who I am. So, I encourage you to get know and understand the mind these words sprang from. Displayed, you will see various pieces of writing as well as scattered photography. Feedback? "Lost opportunities, lost possibilities, feelings we can never get back. That’s part of what it means to be alive. But inside our heads - at least that’s where I imagine it - there’s a little room where we store those memories. A room like the stacks in this library. And to understand the workings of our own heart we have to keep on making new reference cards. We have to dust things off every once in awhile, let in fresh air, change the water in the flower vases. In other words, you’ll live forever in your own private library."

If an angel came down to me, asked ‘what I would do differently?’ I would say nothing, you see, I love someone truly. And if I do not see tomorrow, you know it’s going to be alright.. ‘cause I got my baby, right by my side. And if the rain isn’t falling and the Sun isn’t shining, it makes no difference to me, I’m right where I want to be. If tonight is my last, what do I have to do? If tonight is my last, I want to spend it with you. And if the sky falls down, it’s going to be alright. Because I have you here tonight.

"There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life."

People say hell is endless. They say it’s our worst nightmare. The face of our darkness. Whatever it is, I say hell is empty, and all the devils are here.

It’s hard to explain, but you can’t change the past. You can’t go back and manipulate things to the way you wanted them to happen. Because life would be meaningless and boring and just not worth living. But you can change the future; that’s a beautiful thing. Yes, you will make mistakes. And yes, you will have bad days - but as long as you let the past go, you’ll have such a gorgeous and bright future ahead of you. Knowing that things were meant to happen. Knowing that each day you will learn something so that you keep growing to be a better person. Life is like a rope twined in all it’s complexities. So, grab hold of it.

This is a new year; 2012. Congratulations. If you’re capable of reading this blog right now, that means you’ve made it. You’re alive; still living and breathing. That has to be something to celebrate, right? After all, regardless of religious beliefs, who knows what’s in store for us after our hearts stop.

I’ve found that with every new year comes resolutions. Things that people want to accomplish, change, improve, etc. But most of the time, they fail at making those ‘wants’ become their reality, because they’re not willing to do what it takes. I’m referring to anything that means something whether it be school, work, relationships, etc. If you’re not going to put forth your best effort at any of those things, why try at all? Why set yourself up to fail? It’s not about being incapable, however, with every great climb comes possibility of a fall. But let me tell you this - anything of importance.. will always be worth the fall. The thrill of it all lives within the depths of being scared. Believe that.

This year, I do not wish to change. I’ve found contentment with who I am as a person. I’ve found that I love being as pure as I somehow transformed myself to be. It’s staggering in a way. Although, there is one thing.. I want to experience happiness without boundaries. And I will. Before this year ends.

When you truly care for someone, you don’t look for faults. You don’t look for answers. You don’t look for mistakes. Instead, you fight the mistakes. You accept the faults and you overlook the excuses. The measure of love is when you love without measure.

"Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of withering, of tarnishing."

Sometimes when you’re young, you think nothing can hurt you. It’s like being invincible. Your whole life is ahead of you and you have big plans; to find your perfect match.. the one that completes you. But as you get older, you realize it’s not always that easy. And it’s not until the end of your life that you realize how the plans you made were simply plans. Because at the end, when you’re looking back instead of forward, you want to believe that you made the most of what life gave you. You want to believe that you’re leaving something good behind. You want it all to have mattered.
